May 2007 - Audubon of Florida 2007 Legislative Results - report on our campaign to increase support for Lake Okeechobee and Estuary Recovery.

May 2007 - Audubon of Florida presented with the Director's Conservation Award for their work at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland.  The award recognizes our outstanding contributions to the recovery of the bald eagle in the southeast and across the Nation.

April 2007 - Lawsuit seeks to void federal permit for Saturnia Falls.  AOF and partners have filed a lawsuit against the Corps of Engineers to protect Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary.  The federal challenge was filed yesterday, while the result of our state challenge is still pending.

March 2007 - Regional Conservation Report to Audubon of Florida Board of Directors.

March 2007 - Audubon of Florida position statement to the Public Service Commission advocating modification of current policy which encourages Florida industry to achieve a balanced fuel supply.

March 7, 2007 - SF Florida Regional Conservation Committee Opposes Heartland Parkway - Letter to Gov. Crist

January 22, 2007 - On Friday the national environmental movement, including National Audubon Society, released the attached energy policy.  This is not embargoed.  It provides useful guidance for our statewide direction on energy.  Energy Policy.

Audubon Center at West Bay

Another step toward creating a world class nature center in Florida’s panhandle takes place this week as we welcome Linda Macbeth to the Audubon of Florida staff.  As Project Manager for the proposed Audubon Center at West Bay, Linda will lead efforts to build support for the center among residents and investors in Bay and Walton Counties and other nearby communities.(5/2/2007)
