presented with the
Director's Conservation Award for their work at the
Audubon Center for Birds of Prey in Maitland.
The award recognizes our outstanding contributions to
the recovery of the bald eagle in the southeast and across the Nation.

Lawsuit seeks to void federal permit for
Saturnia Falls.
AOF and partners have filed a lawsuit against
the Corps of Engineers to protect Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. The
federal challenge was filed yesterday, while the result of our state
challenge is still pending.

Audubon Center at West Bay
Another step
toward creating a world class nature center in Florida’s panhandle takes
place this week as we welcome Linda Macbeth to the Audubon of Florida
staff. As Project Manager for the proposed Audubon Center at West Bay,
Linda will lead efforts to build support for the center among residents
and investors in Bay and Walton Counties and other nearby
