- Increase, formalize, and coordinate surveys of threatened
species and species of special concern.
- Make plans to protect habitat.
Conservation Outcomes
- Dec. 2006 Prepared State of the Birds report and reviewed
with Board of Directors
- Changed bird survey protocol to include bird counts
- Scheduled meeting with Conservation Foundation, City of
Sanibel, and Ding Darling to coordinate data gathering
- Jan. 2007 Reviewed draft of city beach clean up policy
and submitted analysis to city council and local newspapers
