Conservation Plans

  1. Identify local threatened species
  2. Increase, formalize, and coordinate surveys of threatened species and species of special concern.
  3. Make plans to protect habitat.

Conservation Outcomes

  1. Dec. 2006 Prepared State of the Birds report and reviewed with Board of Directors
  2. Changed bird survey protocol to include bird counts
  3. Scheduled meeting with Conservation Foundation, City of Sanibel, and Ding Darling to coordinate data gathering
  4. Jan. 2007 Reviewed draft of city beach clean up policy and submitted analysis to city council and local newspapers
